Chamber News :: 2009 Budd Lake Fishing Derby Held

Over 150 registered anglers participated in the 27th annual Budd Lake Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 6, 2009.

Adult winners were Calvin Pearson (Largest Muskie--$1000), Dave Millison (Largest Bass--$250 3rd Largest Bass--$50, and Largest String of Fish--$250), Jerry Falor (2nd Largest Bass--$100), Lisa Baldwin (Largest Walleye--$250), John Allen (2nd Largest Walleye--$100), Mark Reinke (2nd Largest String of Fish--$100), and Jerad Yenna (3rd Largest String of Fish--$50). In the kids' event, Jake Beiling took home first prize ($50 and a tackle box) for a 9" rock bass, while Tyler clark took second ($20 plus a rod and reel) with an 8.5" rock bass. Roger Williams, Fred Winstanley III, Jim Schaefer took home $20 Wild Card prizes, and Harry Bergy won the 50/50 draw ($107).
